Welcome to The Old Scott Barn! From rustic to elegant and everything in between, we’ve been successfully hosting weddings and other events at our lovingly restored property since 2019. Our historic post and beam barn has two large levels and is situated on 100 pristine acres. Imagine your celebration surrounded by timber beams hundreds of years old, beautifully preserved to resemble their original charm. The farm dates to 1793 and we have made every effort to keep the original grandeur intact. Your reception festivities in our second-floor hayloft will include a spectacular view of Signal Mountain, as you dine and dance the night away under the stars on newly installed wood flooring. Your guests may enjoy cocktails and nibble on appetizers after your ceremony in our Milk House Pub on the first floor, complete with a stunning 30-foot live edge wood bar and new 20” wide pine flooring nestled in among the old cow stanchions and milking hardware. The Pub is fully winterized and available for smaller winter weddings and parties. The Old Scott Barn is a unique Vermont experience and the perfect setting for your special celebration. OUR HISTORY
Your host, Martin Klein, purchased the property in 2014 and sought to save the dairy barn, which needed a little TLC and was at risk of becoming a lost part of Vermont’s storied past. With the help of a historical barn preservation grant offered by the State of Vermont, Martin undertook the restoration with the idea of serving the community and others by offering the barn as an event venue to host memorable celebrations.

Your dream wedding can become a magical reality at the Old Scott Barn. Our historic post and beam barn has two large levels. The upstairs hayloft can comfortably seat 150+ guests with a generous dance floor. Downstairs in the milking parlor is a great place for your guests to socialize while sipping cocktails and nibbling on appetizers in the Milk House Pub. The pub is available year-round for smaller winter weddings.
